Motor Private Insurance Policies are taken for and/or by individuals in respect of vehicles for personal or domestic use, hence the term Motor Private. Private vehicles range from Saloons, sedans, Double Cabs, SUVs, Station wagons, as well as coupes.
There are four distinct variations of cover configuration options available to clients:
Comprehensive motor insurance provides cover for accidental damages to your vehicle by either fire, theft, vandalism, or an auto-crash. The policy will also compensate a third party in respect of property damage, death, or bodily injury in the event that you as an insured were in the wrong, subject to policy limits as detailed in your policy document.
Third Party Fire & Theft (TPFT) policy covers loss of and/or damage to your car specifically by fire (excluding arson and vandalism) and operational theft. The policy will also compensate a third party in respect of property damage, death, or bodily injury in the event that you as an insured were in the wrong.
Third Party Only Cover (TPO) policy provides cover for liability damages, specifically any injury and damage you cause to other people (Third Parties) and/or their personal property.
The minimum cover you can secure in compliance with national road traffic regulations. Its transactional indemnity limits are very low if compared to the three options listed above. The primary purpose is to compensate third parties in respect of basic property damage as well as death and/or bodily injury they may suffer through the negligent use of your vehicle.
All motor private car policies are subject to a maximum continuous runtime period of 12 months. This can be checked against your motor insurance certificates issued by our officers, which will explicitly indicate both the effective and expiry dates of the cover runtime cycle.
